Job summary

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's with 7 years. Experience with high-profile projects in Southern California is preferred, including a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Qualifications

Overview

We are currently engaged in high‑profile projects such as the region’s first high‑speed rail system (200+ mph), the Airfield Terminal Modernization Program at LAX, and the Sixth Street "Ribbon of Light" Bridge. Join our expanding team of engineers and contribute to projects that shape the Southern California transportation landscape.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects.
• Consult with the project manager to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery.
• Apply engineering techniques and design criteria to complex, cross‑disciplinary projects.
• Mentor, train, and review the work of junior engineer staff, providing constructive feedback.
• Use senior‑level technical expertise to evaluate a broad range of engineering solutions.
• Plan, distribute work, and lead within the discipline, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget for complex projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation and scope development.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of the discipline team’s deliverables.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and staffing partners at the staff level.
• Lead discipline delivery on multi‑disciplinary projects and coordinate schedules across disciplines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, OR
• PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project delivery experience on Caltrans, City of Los Angeles, and LA Metro funded projects.
• Experience with the City of Los Angeles B‑Permit process and Caltrans encroachment permits.
• 10–15 years of experience delivering in the Southern California transportation market.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Location & Compensation

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Figueroa Street)

Pay Range: Los Angeles Metro Area & Orange County, CA – $126,942.61 to $198,551.24. Nationwide – $110,384.86 to $215,816.57. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.
