Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in Des Moines, IA to drive automation across healthcare portal applications. You will design and maintain scalable Playwright-based frameworks and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality releases.

You will lead test strategy, execute UI and API tests, validate backend data with SQL/Mongo, and mentor junior engineers in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation within Healthcare/Payer domains.
• Strong experience designing scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Proficient in automating UI and API tests and validating backend data with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Automate end-to-end business workflows across healthcare member portal applications.
• Develop and execute UI and API automation test scripts and patterns.
• Lead automation strategy and framework enhancements.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Business teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Execute regression, smoke, integration, and E2E testing for releases.
• Perform cross-browser testing across Chromium, Edge, Firefox.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
• Analyze test results, coordinate defect resolution, and provide status updates.
• Mentor junior automation engineers.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

• Strong Healthcare/Payer domain experience.
• Good understanding of healthcare concepts such as Member, Claims, Benefits, Eligibility, Enrollment, Providers, and Authorizations.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Automate end-to-end business workflows across healthcare member portal applications.
• Develop and execute UI and API automation test scripts using industry-standard design patterns.
• Lead automation strategy, framework enhancements, and test coverage improvements.
• Work closely with Onshore and Offshore QA, Development, and Business teams to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and test strategy discussions.
• Execute regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing for application releases.
• Perform cross-browser testing across Chromium, Edge, and Firefox.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and coordinate defect resolution activities.
• Review automation code, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior automation engineers.
• Perform backend data validation using SQL queries and API validation techniques.
• Provide test execution reports, quality metrics, and status updates to stakeholders.
• Strong experience in UI and API test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
