Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking aSenior Enterprise Data Architect to lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms for Financial Crime, Risk, and Regulatory domains.

The role focuses on modernizing legacy data ecosystems to cloud-native Databricks-based architectures, building scalable data models, and ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance across all data products.

Qualifications

• Enterprise data architecture expertise for large-scale data platforms
• Strong experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and modern Lakehouse Architecture patterns
• Deep knowledge of Cloud Platforms including Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments
• Expertise in Data Modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical data design for complex enterprise ecosystems
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Strong expertise in modern Medallion Architecture, Bronze/Silver/Gold data layer patterns
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, distributed data processing, and modern data integration frameworks
• Experience designing and implementing secure architectures using IAM, encryption, access controls, audit logging
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Financial Crime, Risk, Compliance, and Regulatory data platforms.
• Drive modernization by migrating legacy data ecosystems to cloud-native and Databricks-based architectures.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting data quality, scalability, governance, and long-term objectives.
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, engineering and risk stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Define enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, storage, lineage, governance, and consumption.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, resiliency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, Security, and Risk teams to build secure, highly available data products.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and teams, fostering collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.

-At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.

Location expectations

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00
