As part of our team, you can explore what motivates and energizes your career goals: partnering with our customers, our communities, and each other.## ## **Job Description**U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Technology Architect with strategic analysis and enterprise-wide technology experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives.## Key Responsibilities* Lead the architecture, design, and governance of enterprise payment, gateway, and digital transaction platforms.* Develop scalable solution architectures supporting cloud modernization, API-first strategies, and distributed systems.* Define architecture standards, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.* Partner with business, product, security, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.* Provide technical leadership for complex integrations across internal platforms, third-party vendors, fintech partners, and payment networks.* Drive application resiliency, high availability, performance optimization, and operational excellence across critical systems.* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve scalability, automation, security, and customer experience.* Mentor engineers and architects while influencing strategic technology decisions across multiple portfolios and initiatives.**Basic Qualifications**-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience -At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies. -At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.**Preferred Skills/Experience*** **Enterprise Architecture** experience designing large-scale, mission-critical technology platforms.* Strong expertise in **Payments**, **Merchant Services**, **Payment Gateways**, or high-volume transaction processing systems.* Deep knowledge of **Cloud Architecture** (AWS, Azure, or GCP), cloud-native design patterns, and container-based platforms.* Experience designing and governing **API**, **Microservices**, and **Event-Driven Architectures**.* Strong understanding of **Security Architecture**, authentication, authorization, encryption, and risk management principles.* Expertise with **System Integration**, third-party vendor connectivity, and enterprise service platforms.* Experience with **High Availability**, disaster recovery, observability, performance engineering, and reliability practices.* Excellent **Technical Leadership**, stakeholder management, solution consulting, and architecture governance skills.**Location expectations** This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.**Benefits:**Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members’ whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work.
