Job summary

KBR Metrology is seeking a Sr. Technician Metrology to support the Metrology Program, calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with technicians, including onsite oven calibrations.

The role involves performing calibration and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and dimensional equipment, ensuring quality-system alignment and detailed reporting, while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 6+ years experience in the field, OR Associate degree in engineering technology or other relevant field and 4 years experience. Formal military PMEL, TMDE or calibration school training with proof of attendance.
• Technician will be inspecting fixtures and tooling using CMM.
• Previous customer service experience is a plus
• U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.

Responsibilities

• Performs calibration and repairs on electrical, physical/mechanical, and dimensional equipment.
• Calibrates laboratory standards and ensures documentation aligns with Quality Systems.
• Conducts complex configuration tests and interprets schematics and testing procedures.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting and repair work on electronic and instrumentation equipment.
• Generates detailed reports on system conditions, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Uses and maintains metrology lab test equipment proficiently across multiple measurement areas.
• Provides guidance on equipment operation and assists customers in defining technical requirements.
• Performs complex maintenance, including inspection and diagnostics using schematics and computer tools.
• Ensures safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.
• Resolves issues, improves departmental productivity, and proactively addresses potential problems.

They also offer preventative maintenance, equipment sourcing, CMM inspections, automation and programming, measurement technical support, calibration recall system management, and performance tracking dashboards.

Job Summary

Metrology Technician III will provide day to day support for the Metrology Program Calibrating IMTE and guiding workflow with other technicians as well as primary for onsite oven calibrations.
