Sr Technical Solution Engineer – Cleared Engineering Team

Location: McLean, VA – secure SCIF facility. The role bridges core infrastructure operations and active platform reliability for secure GovCloud data enclaves and advanced AI software.

The Role

As a Sr Technical Solution Engineer you will move beyond reactive ticketing to tackle complex system and network environment blocks, owning operational integrity and executing sophisticated debugging within a high‑consequence compliance framework. You will run specialized tooling, unblock internal engineering teams, and engineer out systemic roadblocks in secure GovCloud operations.

The Impact You’ll Have

• Ensure platform reliability for multi‑cloud data enclaves and Generative AI software within air‑gapped environments.
• Unblock secure engineering pipelines by navigating complex GovCloud system interactions and triage for internal teams.
• Execute advanced tooling and scripting within secure boundaries, following modern access guidelines.
• Optimize environment patching by reviewing configurations for compliant patch deployment pipelines.
• Maintain guardrails and compliance within secure facilities (SCIF), ensuring all interactions meet federal security benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Minimum:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Support Engineering, DevSecOps, or a related operational role.
  • High‑level proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or Java.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Hands‑on debugging and systems administration inside major public cloud boundaries (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated patch deployment pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work out of McLean, VA secure facility; flexible for 24x7 coverage within SCIF.
• Preferred:
  • Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
  • Experience supporting AWS WWPS, OCI Federal Support, or high‑side defense integration environments.
  • History of navigating complex federal compliance frameworks, GovCloud boundaries, or air‑gapped constraints.
  • Track record of stability and ownership within complex engineering or defense‑intelligence spaces.

Pay Range

USD 130,200—$178,950
