Job summary

SpaceX in California is seeking a highly motivated, full-life cycle recruiter to support Starlink as we scale across engineering, supply chain and technical operations, championing creative sourcing strategies and a candidate‑centered process.

You will own sourcing, screening, interviewing and onboarding, partner with hiring managers at all levels, and navigate a high‑volume workload with accountability, collaboration, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years recruiting experience, or an associate degree with 6+ years, or 7+ years of recruiter experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in engineering, supply chain or other niche disciplines
• In-house recruiting experience
• Full life cycle recruiting from sourcing to closing
• Ability to analyze recruiting data and report findings
• Ability to identify top 5% talent and engage them with non-standard methods
• Experience interfacing with hiring managers including directors

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a SpaceX recruiter, you will run a full desk with a variety of duties and responsibilities focused on the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of top talent candidates to fill mission critical positions.In many cases, you are candidates’ first encounter with SpaceX, and it is your job to represent the company with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm.We work in teams and focus on collaboration yet require a high degree of autonomy.So, while you are not expected to simply go at it alone, you are expected to show initiative, take responsibility, and run with tasks to completion.

Your day‑to‑day routine will change often as hiring priorities shift, but there is a basic set of activities you can expect to run daily, including, but not limited to:

• Review internal and external applications, conduct passive candidate searches, interview candidates, and act as a consultative recruiting partner to clients
• Deeply understand each role's requirements and how it fits into the organization
• Develop and execute strategies focused on creating and maintaining a strong pipeline of passive talent
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates through clear and consistent communication
• Find creative ways to capture the attention of candidates during initial outreach stages
• Manage a high volume of clients and requisitions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of recruiting experience; or associate degree and 6+ years of experience; or 7+ years of professional experience as a recruiter in lieu of a degree

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of recruiting experience in engineering, supply chain or other niche disciplines
• Experience with in-house recruiting
• Strong tenure with demonstrated success in recruiting roles
• Full life cycle recruiting experience, from sourcing to closing
• Comfort with reviewing, evaluating and reporting on recruiting data
• Ability to distinguish between the top 50% and the top 5% of talent within their respective fields
• Demonstrated expertise in non-standard recruiting methods: cold calling candidates and companies, organizing and executing ad hoc networking events, identifying industry experts and finding unique methods to engage with them, creating unique targeted sourcing campaigns, etc.
