Job ID: 10595427 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS) builds and operates the foundational security capabilities that protect Amazon’s corporate and customer data across its global cloud environment. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to drive complex, cross-organizational security programs end to end, improving the security posture of Amazon’s cloud environments and the identity and access controls that govern them.
In this role you will be the single-threaded owner of large, cross-functional security initiatives. You will define the program, build and maintain the plan, and drive many independent teams toward committed outcomes; coordinating the work to bring environments under consistent, centrally governed security controls, and partnering with other organizations where initiatives are shared. You will operate with limited guidance within a large organization, influence system owners and architectural decisions, elevate effectively when work is blocked, and keep leadership continuously informed with an accurate, defensible view of progress.
This is not a program-support role. You will set the plan, hold partner teams accountable to committed dates, and bring the mitigation plan rather than the problem when an initiative is at risk.
You will own cross-organizational security programs spanning the identification, prioritization, and remediation of risks across a large and varied cloud environment. The work requires sustained coordination with many engineering teams and system owners across the company, as well as partner organizations.
