As a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, we’re part of a proud legacy of innovation and excellence. SIE is a dynamic technology company, delivering cutting‑edge hardware and network services to more than 100 million people and an entertainment leader, home to some of the most beloved and recognizable intellectual properties (IP) in the world. Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.

Do you have a passion for leading complex, cross‑team initiatives and building high‑quality, scalable systems used by millions of gamers? Do you enjoy working across both platform infrastructure and product‑facing teams to deliver impactful solutions?

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead large, complex programs that span multiple engineering teams and systems. This role supports a diverse set of engineering efforts, including large‑scale platform infrastructure that powers critical development workflows, as well as application and service development teams delivering consumer‑facing experiences.

You will play a key role in shaping how we deliver software by driving alignment, influencing decisions, and ensuring successful execution across globally distributed teams. You will operate with a high degree of ownership, working closely with engineering, product management, QA, and operations to deliver high‑impact solutions across a wide range of technical domains.

Responsibilities
  • Own and lead complex, cross‑team programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, and outcomes.
  • Drive decision‑making and prioritization, balancing business impact, technical constraints, and delivery timelines.
  • Translate business goals into clear technical requirements and execution plans, partnering closely with engineering teams.
  • Identify risks early and lead mitigation efforts, ensuring programs stay on track across dependencies and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment across engineering, product, and partner teams, including influencing senior stakeholders when needed.
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous situations, helping teams converge on practical, scalable solutions.
  • Improve program execution practices, introducing and refining processes, tools, and frameworks to increase efficiency and predictability.
  • Provide ongoing visibility into program health, including progress, risks, tradeoffs, and key milestones.
  • Mentor and guide teams on program management best practices, helping elevate execution maturity across the organization.
Qualifications

Required

  • 5–7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or a related role.
  • Experience leading complex, multi‑team programs with interdependencies.
  • Prior experience working as a Scrum Master, with a strong understanding of Agile ceremonies and team execution practices.
  • Background in software development or quality engineering, with demonstrated technical understanding of system design, testing, and delivery workflows.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and system architecture concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and influence decisions across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with globally distributed and cross‑functional teams.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in evolving environments.
  • Ability to manage programs across the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong experience applying Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), with the ability to adapt processes to fit complex programs.
  • Demonstrated success driving alignment across globally distributed and cross‑cultural teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to collaborate with distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience improving or scaling program management processes, tooling, or team workflows.
  • Experience influencing teams to improve performance, reliability, or delivery efficiency.
What Success Looks Like
  • Complex programs are delivered predictably and efficiently, even across multiple teams and dependencies.
  • Teams are aligned and focused, with clear priorities and minimal friction.
  • Risks are identified early and addressed proactively.
