KBR Careers in Houston is seeking a Sr. Technical Professional – Structural to lead structural design projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and at least 4 years of related experience, including work with STAAD and MAT 3D.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
Create designs, specifications and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, or engineered products. Perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter. Devise new approaches to problems encountered. Plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Perform work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. May lead a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project. Contribute to employee performance appraisals and coach lower‑level professionals. Prepare and review calculations and drawings to meet project requirements and design codes utilizing STAAD and MAT 3D. Assign work to draftsmen.
Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.
