About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to join our Waverly, Iowa team. This is a high-impact role requiring at least 5 years of experience in complex taxation. Key Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Planning: Lead the preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, C-Corps, S-Corps, and Partnerships.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure all filings adhere to current IRS and Iowa state tax laws; stay abreast of changing tax legislation to provide proactive advice to clients.
• Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor, offering comprehensive financial solutions tailored to the specific personal and professional circumstances of our clients.
• Technical Research: Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues to support client strategies and resolve IRS or state-level inquiries.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical review for junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and professional development within the firm.
• Business Growth: Support the firm’s commitment to high-quality service, contributing to client retention and the pursuit of new financial solutions.

Requirements

• Required Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting
