Raytheon’s mission on-site in Aurora, CO, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer – Mission Management to lead MBSE-driven analyses, requirements decomposition, and interface control across the system lifecycle. You will work in a role requiring DoD TS/SCI clearance, with relocation eligibility and a security-minded, collaborative team environment. On-site in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle and related activities (ConOps, requirements, functional analysis, interfaces, verification/validation).
  • Development experience on a government contract and in systems engineering, integration, or test.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Responsibilities

  • Support MBSE analyses and definition of how the system works.
  • Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and determine validation/verification by test.
  • Support capability and feature designs for the software team in Agile development.
  • Provide engineering support for test program execution, including test processes, architecture, verification, and validation.
  • Support regression testing across deliverable releases to program baseline.
  • Attend technical reviews and technical interchange meetings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer – Mission Management supporting one of our premier programs in Aurora, CO, where your knowledge of requirements, design elaboration, systems engineering analyses, script development, interface definition and control, and verification and validation will be put to good use.

In this role, you will support systems engineering activities across requirements decomposition, system interfaces, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile capability development, integration and test, verification, and validation. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do
  • Support technical analyses and definition of how the system works using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Support the decomposition of requirements, definition of system interfaces, and determination of how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
  • Support capability and feature designs for the software engineering team in support of Agile development
  • Provide engineering support for execution of a portion of the program’s test program, including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation
  • Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline
  • Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchange meetings in support of the program
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle, roles, and functions, including one or more of the following areas: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation
  • Development experience on a government contract
  • Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, and/or test
  • Active and transferable DoD TS/SCI U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date, with the ability to obtain Special Program Access
We Prefer
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Development experience in mission management ground systems
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience with requirements management in DOORS or other requirements databases

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
