U.S. Bank is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – SQL Database Administrator to administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises, Azure, and AWS. You will design HA/DR solutions and manage lifecycle activities for production and non-production environments.

You will monitor health and performance, lead incident response, and collaborate with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to ensure resilient database services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years in an IT environment with 10 years designing and supporting technology infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise administering Microsoft SQL Server in large-scale enterprise settings.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises, Azure, and AWS.
  • Design and support HA/DR solutions including Always On, Failover Clustering, Replication, and Log Shipping.
  • Perform installations, configurations, patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management for prod and non-prod.
