Job summary

CHAOS Industries seeks an Integration & Test Engineer to own the I&T process for a multi‑component system, collaborating with hardware, software and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration. You will design test plans, execute lab and field verification, and debug issues across mechanical, electronic and software subsystems.

Responsibilities include moving products from assembly to deployment readiness, developing efficient test benches, and working closely with the Lead Systems Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience conducting integration and test or troubleshooting on complex systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Own the Integration and Test process and collaborate with engineers to integrate components into a cohesive system.
• Conduct integration, verification, and testing in lab or field to ensure specifications are met.
• Debug, trace, and correct faults across mechanical, electronic and software systems.
• Develop and document test plans and procedures for efficient handoff to technicians.
• Identify tools and equipment needed to support I&T and set up equipment as necessary.
• Collaborate with Lead Systems Engineer to create and execute test plans for lab, production and field.
• Work with the engineering team to understand system limitations and capabilities.
• Support setup and configuration of system hardware components.

Role Overview

• Own the Integration and Test process and collaborate with engineers to integrate various components (Hardware, Software, Firmware) into a cohesive system
• Conduct rigorous testing in labs or field environments to verify the system performs according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support System I&T (Integration and Testing) to move product from assembly to ready for deployment
• Conduct integration, verification, and testing in the lab or the field to ensure the system performs according to specifications
• Debug, Trace, and correct faults in mechanical, electronic and software systems
• Develop and document comprehensive test plans and procedures to enable efficient handoff of testing tasks to technicians
• Develop efficient test plans, procedures, and test benches/suites to streamline the Integration & Test (I&T) process.
• Identify tools and equipment required to support I&T and setup/program that equipment as necessary
• Collaborate with LSE (Lead Systems Engineer) to create and execute test plans and procedures for lab, production and field
• Work closely with the overall engineering team to understand the limitations and capabilities of the system
• Support setup and configuration of system hardware components
• Work 4-5 days per week out of our office in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or another related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience in a technical role: Prior experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstration of Integration & Test experience: Experience conducting integration and test or troubleshooting technical issues on complex systems
• Familiarity with specific test equipment used in RF (Radio Frequency) Systems testing, like signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail: A commitment to quality and a keen eye for catching errors

Preferred Requirements

• Systems Engineering experience with RF (Radio Frequency) Systems
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, MATLAB, or C++
• Experience with Signal Processing and/or Data Analysis

Salary Range: $110,000 - $250,000

The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
