Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Camden, NJ seeks an experienced Information Assurance Systems Engineer to lead security-focused systems engineering for national security programs. You will apply cryptography, architecture development, and MBSE across the life cycle, working with NSA-related compliance and DoD requirements.

Travel up to 10%, on-site work, active DoD SECRET clearance required; degree in engineering; 6+ years SE; preferred Master's; NSA Type 1 experience valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance (DoD SECRET minimum).
  • 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience, including work on Information Assurance systems/products.
  • 4+ years applying the full Systems Engineering lifecycle from concept development through system test.
  • At least 3 years of Architecture Development, including functional analysis, requirements allocation and traceability, trade studies, system synthesis, and integration/verification testing.
  • 2+ years of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Information Assurance, security, and cryptography.
  • 1+ years of experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including TLS and certificate/key management.
  • Preferred Additional Skills: NSA Approved products experience.
  • Master's degree is highly desired.
  • Understanding of Key Management Systems including EKMS and KMI.
  • Proven track record of success and experience in NSA Approved Type 1 certified systems or equipment.
  • Security architecture development skills, specifically the ability to make complex design trade-offs affecting system security.
  • Experience negotiating security requirements with NSA Technical Evaluators.

Job Description:

The Information Assurance Systems Engineer is first and foremost a Systems Engineer who is also a subject matter expert in the development of systems and equipment that protect classified National Security information. The Information Assurance Systems Engineer is an ideal position for those with either Systems Engineering academic or industry experience in the design, development, and test of Information Assurance solutions for Defense and Intelligence community customers.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $118,306 - $224,575. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
