Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to monitor, maintain, and provide Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 support of mission‑critical network infrastructure, collect data for analysis, perform network upgrades, and produce documentation and diagrams of the work.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and administrative support onsite for a team of developers and testers, adapting procedures to meet mission needs while maintaining security standards.
• Design, build, and maintain AWS and hybrid‑cloud systems.
• Administer Linux and Windows operating systems and troubleshoot IP networking for AWS and hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Automate system deployment, operation, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and required polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8years of experience, Master’s degree with 6years, PhD with 4years, or 12years of experience with a high‑school diploma.
• Experience designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions.
• Experience maintaining Linux and Windows operating systems in large enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in automating tasks (e.g., Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet, Python).
• Experience with IT systems design, deployment, and administration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud service certification (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
• Programming language experience.
• Extensive networking experience: IPv4, subnetting, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs.
• Recent technical or team leadership roles.
• Knowledge of cloud database management (MySQL RDS, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Agile development environments.
• Container management experience (PODMAN, Docker, Kubernetes).
