Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a candidate for a role requiring at least five years of experience in complex Linux shell scripting and as a build master for Java/JEE projects. Responsibilities include managing development environments, using Maven for builds, and writing deployment scripts. Ideal candidates will have a background in Java programming and familiarity with SSO products. Local candidates from NJ, NYC, or Philadelphia preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in writing complex Linux shell scripts.
• At least 5 years of experience as a build master for Java/JEE based projects.
• Proven experience with Maven for building and deploying JEE projects.
• Experience with SVN for source code control including merging and branching.
• Background in Apache HTTPD/Tomcat/JBoss installation and configuration.
• Experience with Jenkins and code quality analysis tools like SonarCube.

Responsibilities

• Manage builds and deployments in various development environments.
• Write deployment scripts for Java/JEE applications.
• Utilize relational databases and write basic SQL queries.

Special Skills and/or Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in writing complex Linux shell scripts and installing software in Linux environments.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a build master for Java/JEE based projects
• Proven experience with:
  • Using Maven for building and deploying multiple JEE projects and managing JAR versions
  • Using SVN as a source code control tool - Creating Branches, Merging etc
  • Apache httpd/Apache Tomcat/JBoss installation, setup, configuration and writing deployment scripts
  • Jenkins and/or Hudson installation, setup, configuration
  • Code Quality analysis tools like SonarCube or Cobertura and Jenkins integration
• Experience in managing various development environments for builds and deployments.
• Experience working with a relational database like Oracle and writing basic SQLs to manage data.
• Having a good java programming background and experience in JEE technologies like Spring, Hibernate, JPA is a very big plus.
• Exposure to SSO products like OAM/OIM is a big plus.
