Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support operations and sustainment of a mission-critical enterprise application for federal operations. You will lead production deployments, troubleshoot performance, and coordinate releases within a large IBM mainframe environment.

Required is a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of enterprise systems experience, and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. Remote or Hybrid work is available, with core hours 0600–1700.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years supporting enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production operations.
• IBM z/OS,IDMS, Oracle,Cognos,Broadcom Endevor,Production Operations,System Integration.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Job Description

The Senior Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership supporting production operations, infrastructure integration, database technologies, release management, and enterprise system performance within a large IBM mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support IDMS database environments.
• Support production deployments and release activities.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and production incidents.
• Support configuration management and technical documentation.
• Coordinate system changes across technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 10+ years supporting enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production operations.
• IBM z/OS,IDMS, Oracle,Cognos,Broadcom Endevor,Production Operations,System Integration.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:

• Large-scale financial or ERP systems.
• Federal enterprise environments.

Additional Information

• Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations
