Rite-Hite Corporation seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead architecture, analysis, and maturation of multidisciplinary product systems. You translate customer and business needs into system requirements and guide proofs of concept toward NPD readiness.

Expect collaboration across product management, engineering, and suppliers. You will mentor engineers, conduct trade studies, and define verification strategies while ensuring safety, reliability, and cybersecurity alignment with company

Formación

• Bachelor-level engineering degree with 5+ years in product development or systems engineering.
• Advanced degree and INCOSE certification are a plus but not required.
• Experience with multidisciplinary product development including system requirements, architecture, and verification.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cross-functional system architecture and technology-evaluation activities.
• Develop technical maturation plans, TRL criteria, and proof-of-concept objectives.
• Define system boundaries, architectures, interfaces, and performance requirements.
• Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, feasibility analyses, and make buy evaluations.
• Define system verification, validation, and acceptance strategies.
• Translate product and business needs into clear, actionable system requirements with Product Management.
• Evaluate supplier technologies and their fit within product architectures.
• Mentor engineers in systems design and testing.
• Maintain a pipeline of technologies and document readiness for NPD.
• Analyze complex components or systems for design life and performance.
• Model analytically using calculations or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Spice).
• Write test procedures, execute tests, and analyze data to draw conclusions.
• Interface with engineers, designers, technicians, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Attend field trips to install/troubleshoot prototypes and field models (overnight travel possible).
• Stay current with technology advances for product and manufacturing improvements.
• Support quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Translate customer and business needs into system requirements, develop and evaluate system architectures, lead technical trade studies and proofs of concept, and prepare technologies for transition into NPD and other business initiatives.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.*** Perform all activities in accordance with existing company policies, procedures, and guidelines. Lead cross-functional system architecture and technology-evaluation activities* Develop technical maturation plans, TRL criteria, and proof-of-concept objectives* Define system boundaries, architectures, interfaces, and performance requirements* Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, feasibility analyses, and make/buy evaluations* Define system verification, validation, and acceptance strategies* Translate product and business needs into clear, actionable system requirements through collaboration with Product Management and cross-functional engineering teams.* Evaluate supplier technologies and their fit within product architectures* Mentor less experienced engineers in systems design and testing.* Maintain a pipeline of technologies and document readiness for NPD* Analyze complex components or systems for design life and performance.* Perform analytical modeling using calculations or simulation tools like MATLAB or Spice.* Write test procedures, set up, perform and monitor tests. Collect, reduce, analyze, present test data and draw appropriate conclusions based on the data.* Effectively interface with internal contacts such as other engineers, designers, drafters, technicians, manufacturing, purchasing, sales and marketing.* Attend field trips to install/troubleshoot prototype and/or service engineering field models (possible overnight travel).* Keep current with technology advancements for the purpose of product and manufacturing improvements.* Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:*** Establish clear system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and technical success criteria for assigned technologies and product concepts.* Mature emerging technologies through structured evaluation, technical risk reduction, proofs of concept, and TRL assessment.* Ensure system concepts address customer needs, business objectives, safety, reliability, cybersecurity, scalability, and product-platform requirements.* Provide documented recommendations and transition plans that enable NPD teams to adopt mature technologies effectively.**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:*** Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related engineering discipline, along with at least five years of relevant product-development experience.
