KBR is seeking a Sr. Space Systems Engineer to work onsite at Schriever Space Force Base near Colorado Springs, CO. You will provide a single operational and engineering interface to the Satellite Control Network, supporting real-time on-orbit operations and launch activities for critical missions.

Responsibilities include developing system requirements, end-to-end system integration, and communicating status through briefings. Requires SE background, Agile familiarity, and TS/SCI with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or master's with 3 years, or HS diploma with 9 years, may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Systems Engineering experience and understanding of SE principles and processes.
• Familiar with Agile development and satellite operations or similar systems.
• Top Secret SCI with a Polygraph.

Sr Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a Sr. Space Systems Engineer to work onsite at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO. KBR provides satellite support services to our mission critical customers, conducting real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for operational missions. We collect performance data on launches for the intelligence community and commercial industries. You will provide single operational and engineering interface to the Satellite Control Network (SCN).

Responsibilities

• Work with Space Systems and satellite systems Engineering Leadership developing systems requirements and providing systems engineering solutions.
• End-to-end system
• Assist developing plans and tasks
• Modernize space and ground system
• Troubleshooting and resolution of software issues; support risk management processes and methods.
• Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status, briefs to government as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years’ experience OR a master’s degree with 3 years’ experience OR a High School diploma/Equivalent with 9 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Systems Engineering experience.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.
• Familiar with Agile development.
• Familiar with satellite operations or other similar systems.
• Top Secret SCI with a Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Program Management experience with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in Server System Administration and troubleshooting analysis in some or all of the following platforms: Linux, Windows servers/clients, and Oracle/SQL Databases.
• Effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers and customers.
• Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders from a variety of organizations (internally and externally) in support of requirements development.
• Solid technical foundation in Systems Engineering processes.
• Experience with Systems Integration and System/Software Testing, including virtualized environments.
• Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment.
• Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments.
• Security+ or another DoD 8570 approved certification.

Basic Compensation

$120,500 - $160,800 USD annually. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and in consideration of internal parity.
