You will manage Red Hat Linux servers, storage, file services, access, backups, and security in a multi-platform environment. Responsibilities include building IT infrastructure for engineers, configuring software and licenses, and collaborating with Cybersecurity to meet security requirements.

We are currently seeking a Linux Systems Administrator that will be working onsite in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplinary environment.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. DoD Clearance: Secret Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

This is onsite position in Mckinney, TX.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.

What You Will Do

• Redhat Linux server management
• Storage management

• Understand and knowledge of Linux Server internals including DNS, file sharing protocols, DHCP, AD integration via LDAP, file system structures and permissions
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity, including integration of hardware and operating systems (OS)
• Understand data backup uses and technologies
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements
• Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required
• Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities
• Experience with Redhat servers and workstations
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
• Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems
• Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting
• Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products
• Experience with NAS and / or SAN storage capabilities
• Experience with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment

Qualifications We Prefer

• An active DoD Top Secret clearance
• Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Scanning using tools such as Nessus and SCAP
• Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) Environments
• Experience with Enterprise Active Directory (AD) & LDAP
• Familiarity with Databases including MariaDB, Oracle, and SQL
• Experience dealing with Managed Anti-Virus (AV) solutions
• Scripting Experience (Bash, Python, Ansible) and Kickstart
• Experience with Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs
• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development
