Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Sr SW Test Development Engineer to validate BLE interfaces for CGM transmitters and Dexcom G7 applications. You will execute interoperability tests, analyze results, and collaborate with vendors to improve next‑gen sensors and wearables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5–8 years related experience.
• 2–4 years firmware/embedded testing experience is required.
• 2+ years Embedded C experience is a plus, 2+ years Python scripting is required.

Responsibilities

• Validate BLE interface of Nordic/Silicon Labs based CGM transmitters and Dexcom G7 Application.
• Execute BLE interoperability tests to evaluate system performance and compatibility.
• Perform system-level use cases such as Intended use, Cross-Body, Direct-To-Watch, Range and Interoperability.
• Debug customer-reported issues and coordinate with development teams to resolve.
• Develop functional and stability tests using Python, ADB, Ellisys, Selenium and Appium.
• Operate in a fast-paced Agile environment and document work in GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.

Meet The Team

The Firmware Tools team is responsible for developing tools that help users connect with both Transmitter and Receiver devices to check the health of the devices and download and extract data. The extracted data is further used to evaluate and analyze the measurements, this helps the teams within Dexcom make improvements for next generation sensors and wearables.

As a Sr SW Test Development Engineer, the candidate will support test FW feature interfaces, validate CGM Transmitter performance.

This role reports to Manager of SW Development Engineering and works cross functionally to ensure the appropriate test scripts and validations are developed to satisfy the goal of the organization

Where You Come In

• Responsible to validate BLE interface of Nordic/Silicon Labs based CGM transmitters and Dexcom G7 Application
• Execute BLE Interoperability test to evaluate system performance and compatibility of BLE Vendors/Versions
• Perform system-level use case such as Intended use, Cross-Body, Direct-To-Watch, Range and Interoperability. Analyze the results and share the feedback for Next-Gen CGM transmitters
• Debug Customer reported issue and support. Development team/Vendor to resolve the issue
• Utilize Python, Android Debug Bridge (ADB), Ellisys, Selenium and Appium framework to develop functional and stability tests
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Use GitHub, Jira and confluence tools to create User stories and defect cards and document and maintain code in the repository.

What Makes You Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science, Electrical/Electronic engineering or related field highly preferred with 7-12 years of industry experience
• 2-4 years plus of previous experience in firmware/embedded testing experience is required.
• 2+ years of Embedded C experience is a plus
• 2+ years of Python script development experience is required
• Experience in developing test plan/case and test scripts is required

Experience And Education Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5- 8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.

Flex Workplace:

Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
