Amazon’s North America (NA) Supply Chain team seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to ideate, implement, and create innovative supply chain products that streamline the package flow across the network. This role designs, evaluates, and implements the US storage and distribution network, owning incubation and execution of new concepts to improve customer experience cost-effectively.

Amazon’s North America (NA) Supply Chain team is looking for a leader to join our team as a Senior Supply Chain Manager. The position is designed to ideate, implement, and create innovative supply chain products and solutions that will create seamless flow of packages across Amazon Supply Chain. This is a high impact role with an opportunity to influence and help build one of the highest visibility areas of NA Stores. This role will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and implementing the US storage and distribution network. This individual is also expected to own incubation and execution of innovative supply chain management concepts. The goal is to improve and enhance the Amazon fulfillment network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner. The ideal candidate is highly analytical and skillful in formulating data-driven decisions, comfortable navigating systems, and self-directive in the face of ambiguity to make progress.

Key job responsibilities

• Build mechanisms and define metrics to continuously evaluate and improve inbound and outbound connectivity of the storage and distribution network.
• Partner with Product Manager, Research Scientist, Operations, and Finance to evaluate different connectivity strategies.
• Identify process gaps through deep dive of metrics and make operational improvements (e.g., automation, self-service, etc.).
• Conduct independent research to identify supply chain inefficiencies, recommend solves, and influence partner teams to prioritize and execute.

A day in the life

• Work with Operations and support teams on execution-related challenges
• Perform independent data analysis to help drive partner teams and make recommendations and decisions about the network
• Review requirements, designs, and strategy documents
• Deep dive technical challenges with developer, product, or PMT/TPM partners across internal technical organizations
• Compose whitepapers ("hold the pen") for senior leadership reviews to define strategy

About The Team

The NA Supply Chain team encompasses Capacity, S&OP, labor planning, execution support, and internal analytics as business owners for the inbound network. Within NASC, the Supply Chain Execution and Network Evolution (SCENE) team focuses on network design; large scale network transformation initiatives; new network and building launches, among other responsibilities. We include a mixture of TPM, product, and supply chain leaders to drive new network ideas, plans, and implementations.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• 5+ years of supply chain experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
• Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
