Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Supervisor, Operations Management for our Salt Lake City, UT facility. The role oversees both support and professional staff on the 2nd shift, with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

Responsibilities include meeting production and quality goals, coaching staff, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years related experience, or 2 years post-secondary/associates with 8+ years related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Schedule: 2nd shift - 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Senior Supervisor, Operations Management to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility. The Operations Sr. Supervisor supervises individual(s) typically consisting of support-level employees as well as professional employees.

Essential Functions

• Lead and support frontline employees during swing shift operations.
• Keep the team on track to meet production schedules, quality expectations, and operational goals.
• Track KPIs and communicate performance results, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and resolve daily operational issues.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and development support to team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to address issues and improve overall performance.
• Support employee onboarding, training, and engagement.
• Promote a positive team environment built on accountability, communication, and teamwork.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

• Applicable manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
