Illumina is seeking a Sr Supervisor, Facilities to manage the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. This role plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, estimates costs, and helps establish health and safety standards.

The position directs subordinates, oversees space allocation and facilities expansion, and ensures smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, with 0–2 years of Supervisory experience.

Core Job Summary

Position Summary: Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. May have responsibility for establishing and overseeing health and safety standards. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities

Receives predetermined work assignments with incremental objectives and defined processes, subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines and procedures. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees and recommends changes to unit, sub‑unit, or discipline policies. Works on assignments of limited scope where problem‑solving requires the analysis of data and relevant factors. Erroneous decisions may cause delay in accomplishing short‑term/monthly goals. Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interactions normally involve exchange or presentation of straightforward information. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks, monitors work at frequent intervals, and maintains workflow of the team. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub‑unit. Generally supervises semi‑skilled employees (e.g., assemblers, operators, clerical).

Experience / Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, with 0‑2 years of Supervisory experience.

The estimated base salary range for the Sr Supervisor, Facilities role based in the United States of America is: $98,400 - $147,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long‑term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range. Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
