Job summary

CTI is seeking an experienced on-site Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale DOE/DoD and commercial projects in Washington. You will manage planning, scheduling, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure safety, schedule, and quality align with design specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years in construction management or supervisory roles, government contracts preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred; PMP or CM certifications preferred.
• Experience on large-scale government projects with strong safety practices.
• Pre-hire drug screen and background check required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction phases: planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution with regulatory compliance.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel for safe, efficient operations.
• Coordinate daily work plans and resolve trade issues to maintain progress.
• Monitor structural steel operations and concrete work against the project plan.
• Ensure safety protocols and OSHA compliance; conduct regular safety meetings.
• Track progress to meet design, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Act as on-site liaison with PMs, engineers, architects, and clients; manage scope changes.
• Hold regular on-site meetings with stakeholders to align goals and deliverables.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior superintendents and site staff.
• Manage quality control to meet high industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor costs and allocate resources.
• Lead for safety, quality, and schedule; liaise with program/project managers and consultants.
• Supervise subordinate superintendents; interact with union leadership as needed.

• Serve as the primary on-site liaison with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients, ensuring clear communication and resolution of any issues or changes to the project scope.

Education, Experience And Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management or supervisory roles, preferably in government contract environments (DOE, DoD) (required).
• OSHA 30-Hour certification (required); First Aid/CPR certification (preferred); PMP or construction management certifications (preferred).
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects in industrial or government settings, with a strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices (required).
• Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
