You will perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems, including energy and industrial projects, and develop construction documents and provide construction administration services. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering, 8–15 years of experience, PE or SE licensure preferred, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide customer-oriented design and construction services to clients nationwide and in the Western Region, and it offers great growth potential.

What You’ll Do

• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems.
• Perform structural analysis and design for Energy and Industrial structures and related systems.
• Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services.
• Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
• 8 -15 years of structural engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
• Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry or wood
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
