The role focuses on developing international engagement plans with allies and partners to advance DoD objectives. The analyst will address international agreement, technology security, and foreign disclosure issues, and help craft strategies for international security initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with DoD,

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in IR/Political Science or related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• On-site work required.

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG’s support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation’s strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation’s most pressing security challenges.

We have an immediate need for a Sr. Strategic/Geopolitical Analyst to provide onsite support out of the Pentagon and/or the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Strategic/Geopolitical Analyst will support the newly formed Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation, specifically in the Global Industrial Partnerships (GIP) directorate. Develop, coordinate, and implement international engagement plans with allies and partners. Help resolve international agreement, technology security, program acquisition, and foreign disclosure issues. Develop strategies and implementation plans for international security initiatives. Foster and maintain effective working relationshiops with DoW, interagency, industry, and partner nation stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience researching and analyzing global geopolitical environments, foreign partner defense structures, military capabilities, or defense industrial base issues for DoW
• Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, National Security Studies, or a related field, or hold equivalent experience/certifications in similar fields, or possess substantial occupational experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
