Job summary

Request Technology, LLC is seeking a Storage Engineer to design, implement, and manage storage solutions primarily using Hitachi and Pure Storage arrays in a hybrid environment (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) in Chicago. The role requires 7+ years of storage engineering experience and deep expertise with Hitachi tools and Fibre Channel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of storage engineering experience.
• Strong Hitachi storage expertise (OpsCenter Admin, CM-REST, Analyzer, RAIDCOM).
• Deep understanding of Fibre Channel switching and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Pure Storage arrays.
• Proficient in RHEL multipath configuration for various array types.
• Knowledge of data replication options and when to utilize each.

• Familiarity with Pure Storage arrays.
• Proficient in RHEL multipath configuration for various array types.
• Detailed knowledge of the Hitachi and Pure array model lines.
• Troubleshooting skills for Fibre Channel performance issues.
• NDFC and Linux is a plus to have.
• Ability to write and understand scripts used for automation of data collection tasks.
• Experience with software-defined and object storage solutions.
• Knowledge of data replication options and when to utilize each.
