Sr. Staff Systems Architect – Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) – Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT)

Location: Rolling Meadows, IL. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a current active Secret security clearance and may involve travel. Relocation assistance may be available.

Key Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and model RF system concepts using advanced technical principles and computational electromagnetics. Apply digital signal processing, antenna design, and RF chain analysis to translate high‑level customer objectives into product requirements and complete system solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Lead functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies; allocate hardware and software requirements; develop test plans; and capture and process data in MATLAB and Python to verify specifications.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 14 years of experience in relevant engineering or sciences field, MS Degree and 12 years of experience, or PhD and 10 years of experience in relevant engineering or sciences field
• Experience in writing technical volumes in response to customer proposals
• Expertise in digital signal processing algorithms used for high‑sensitivity, wide‑band, real‑time digital receivers
• Experience performing optimum system function allocation to hardware and software requirements
• Prior experience communicating directly with customers to extract and convert needs into testable system requirements
• Experience with antenna modeling and RF chain analysis
• Demonstrated success in developing test plans that prove system satisfaction of requirements and ability to quickly capture and process data in MATLAB and Python for debugging and verification
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong ability to work in an integrated product team environment
• U.S. citizenship
• Must have a current active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience designing hardware, firmware, and software to best allocate functionality to each subsystem
• Ability to monitor hardware and software design teams with critical insight to steer the team toward a successful solution
• Experience with RFEW systems and RF threat scenario analysis
• Experience architecting and developing Electronic Warfare RF systems with real‑time digital signal processing
• Experience on low‑TRL Department of Defense contracts
• Active Top Secret security clearance

Benefits & Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,100.00 – $276,100.00. Compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for management positions. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
