ZT Systems is seeking a proactive Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and validation of mechanical assemblies for high‑performance servers. You will create innovative components, validate with prototypes, and work with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to meet demanding specifications.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Creo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes such as stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, or die-cutting.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing and field installation or retrofit activities.
• Analyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.
• Generate engineering documents including drawings, manuals, and other deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Interface directly with customers and suppliers to define mechanical requirements.
• Support time-sensitive development initiatives alongside systems and development engineering teams.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives for process, quality, and cost improvements.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ZT Systems, you will play a key role in the design and validation of mechanical assemblies used in our high-performance computer servers. Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design.
• Familiarity with materials including metals, alloys, and plastics.
• Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing (e.g., stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, die-cutting).
• Proficiency with Creo is highly preferred; experience with other 3D CAD systems will be considered.
• Skilled in DFM, DFA, and statistical tolerance analysis.
• Experience with structural FEA (e.g., Creo Simulate) is a plus.
• Knowledge of computer hardware industry is desirable.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.
