Job summary

Renesas Electronics Chandler site seeks a Sr Staff Analog Engineer to lead power management IC design from specification to production. You will guide complex CMOS blocks, perform feasibility studies, and supervise design, layout and verification activities while mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with Applications and Test teams, contribute to DFT, and participate in customer-facing project activities. Occasional international travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Interpret requirements to guide system and design strategy for power management products.
  • Provide technical leadership for major blocks from design to production.
  • Own complex block designs and review work as needed.
  • Feasibility studies for new circuits and lead lab evaluations with Applications Engineers.
  • Produce high-quality documentation for IP blocks and advance design methodologies.
  • Support DFT strategy and implementation; collaborate with test teams to ramp to production.
  • Lead top-level simulation and verification planning and execution.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and foster development.
  • Engage in customer-facing activities as part of project teams.
  • Support RFQ processes and handle ad hoc tasks as required.

Sr Staff Analog Engineer
Job Description
  • Interpret requirement specifications to achieve system and design strategy for power management products.
  • Technical leadership for major blocks, ensuring designs are successfully guided into production · Design, simulation and layout supervision of CMOS power management circuits meeting performance, area, power and timescale constraints
  • Take ownership for complex block design, delegating tasks where appropriate and reviewing design work where necessary
  • Feasibility study of new circuits, ensure design meets specification · Lead Lab evaluation in collaboration with Applications Engineers
  • Produce high quality documentation for own IP blocks · Leading innovation of design and methodologies, to increase power management capabilities
  • Support DFT strategy and implementation
  • Partner with test team to ensure appropriate test development to ramp to production · Top level simulation and verification planning and implementation
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members
  • Take proactive approach to driving own development plan, utilizing team members and internal development opportunities
  • Customer - customer facing relationship as part of project team
  • Support RFQ process where necessary
  • Any ad hoc tasks as deemed reasonable by your manager
