Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Campus Recruitment to drive university relations, support DVM and VT externships, student programs and early talent pipelines in partnership with Talent Acquisition. Must have campus recruiting experience.

You will partner with campus teams, manage externships and student programs, and coordinate with DVM/VT recruitment to ensure a steady flow of early talent. The role requires up to 50% travel and hybrid work from Vancouver, WA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Veterinary or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Five years of experience with campus recruiting, talent acquisition, project and/or event management; or five years in veterinary hospitals including line management and student interns/externs are required.

Responsibilities

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Partner with campus teams to build strategy and execute relationship activities with students, faculty and staff at veterinary colleges.
  • Execute planning and implementation of DVM and VT Externships, Student Job Program and Student Ambassador Program.
  • Partner with DVM and VT recruitment teams to maintain flow of early pipeline talent.
  • Partner with Employer Branding, Marketing and Corporate Affairs to create engaging program collateral, content and communications.
  • Provide support for development of new student experiences and lead continuous improvement for existing programs.
  • Provide training and communication for field and hospitals participating in student programs.
  • Partner with external vendors on program execution maintaining operational excellence.
  • Partner with Campus Liaisons, Student Ambassadors, and recruiters to plan and execute campus events and sponsorships.

Summary and Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Execute planning and implementation of DVM and VT Externships, Student Job Program and Student Ambassador Program.
  • Partner with DVM and VT recruitment teams to maintain flow of early pipeline talent.
  • Partner with Employer Branding, Marketing and Corporate Affairs to create engaging programs collateral, program content and communications.

  • Manage and maintain library of campus resources on Teams.
  • Identify, train, and engage with area student programs champions.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions
  • Up to 50% travel is required.
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Veterinary is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Five years of experience with campus recruiting, talent acquisition, project and/or event management; or five years of combined experience in veterinary hospitals including line management and experience working with student interns and externs are required.
  • The ability to communicate with a variety of associates and individuals across a variety of locations and levels is required.
  • Experience with Phenom CRM and Workday ATS is preferred.
Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $75,029 - $103,165. The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area, with the specific rate determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, abilities, and education, and may vary depending on location and schedule. This posting will remain open for a minimum of two weeks or until a sufficient pool of qualified applicants has been received.

Location

This will be a hybrid role based out of the Banfield Pet Hospital headquarters in Vancouver, WA. Remote applicants who meet the necessary qualifications may be considered.
