Job summary

Neo4j is seeking a regional Solutions Engineer to partner with sales executives and showcase how the Graph Intelligence Platform addresses critical business needs. The SE will guide customers through technical evaluations, demonstrations, and value realization across industries such as financial services, telecom, technology, and life sciences.

The role requires deep knowledge of graph data, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud architectures, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business

Qualifications

• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in a similar capacity (Sales/Presales/Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, etc.).
• Experience with enterprise data architecture, data analytics, data science or cloud data architecture.
• Familiarity with graph data technology; working knowledge of Neo4j is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases; programming language experience (Python/Java/JavaScript/Go/C#).
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing data solutions in public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP) or on-premise.

• Drive and run the technology evaluation stage of sales cycles.
• Manage multiple opportunities with qualification, discovery, demonstrations, proof of value, and documentation of criteria.

• Co-create reference architectures integrating Neo4j with cloud or on-premise environments.
• Stay current on Neo4j capabilities and integrations with third-party tools.
• Communicate customer needs and product feedback to product teams.
• Lead participation in account-based marketing events and conferences.

Role Overview

As a member of our regional go-to-market team, you will partner with our sales executives, working closely with clients to showcase how the Neo4j Graph Intelligence Platform addresses their critical business needs. Neo4j Solution Engineers play a central, hands‑on role as clients consider and evaluate Neo4j technology, and support customers in an advisory capacity throughout their journey to value realization. SEs work with organizations across industries such as Financial Services, Telecommunications, Technology, and Life Sciences, understanding the business and technical value of representing data using Neo4j graph database and analytics technology. You will grow as a thought leader in graphs and solve our customers’ high‑value problems beyond traditional data solutions.

What Success Looks Like

• Developing and honing subject matter expertise to effectively discern and understand the true needs of our customers, present technology solutions that target those needs, and all in all, demonstrate thought leadership and the value of Neo4j through platform and use case demonstrations, solution architecting, workshops, and conferences.
• Meeting and exceeding regional revenue goals, as a result of helping Sales to qualify and validate opportunities from a technical perspective and accelerate the sales cycle and adoption of Neo4j.
• Collaborating effectively with Sales, Professional Services, Partners, Product Management, etc. to deliver continuous value to customers and ensure a seamless customer experience as they embark on the graph journey.

What You’ll Do

• Confidently articulate the business and technical value of Neo4j to customers and prospects as a key technical advisor and advocate for our products and services.
• Actively drive and run the technology evaluation stage of the sales cycles.
• Work across a number of opportunities in parallel and manage day‑to‑day activities such as opportunity qualification, technical discovery, presentations, platform and use case demonstrations, proof of value, sizing, and documentation of technical decision criteria.
• Build and nurture rapport with customer stakeholders at all levels and be the trusted advisor to them to help them understand what they can achieve with Neo4j.
• Co‑create reference and solution architectures with our customers, including integrating Neo4j with their existing architecture and applications within a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on‑premise environment.
• Stay current on latest Neo4j capabilities, including but not limited to usage and integration with third‑party tools and services.
• Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
• Help drive demand through participation in account‑based marketing events as well as industry‑known conferences and trade shows.
• Lead by example and actively foster an environment of teamwork, transparency, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Travel as needed to assist in deal creation and closure, and provide support to your team as required.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of customer‑facing experience in a similar capacity (Sales/Presales/Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, etc.), ideally in a similar high‑growth, scaling environment.
• Experience working with different data technologies in either of the following areas: enterprise data architecture, data analytics, data science or cloud data architecture.
• Familiarity with graph data technology is essential. Working knowledge of Neo4j is a strong plus!
• Hands‑on experience and proficiency with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases, and at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C#.
• Successful track record in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions in the public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on‑premise.
• Ability to engage and communicate ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences at all levels through presentations, whiteboarding, and platform demonstrations.
• Technical savviness and business acumen to translate technical concepts and patterns into valuable business outcomes.
• Passion for learning new technologies (especially graphs!), developing new ways of data modeling, and spearheading change management.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to prioritize, pivot, and problem‑solve.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual on target earnings range for this position based in the United States is listed below. This range is an estimate, and the actual on target earnings may vary based on Neo4j’s compensation practices, job related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, in addition to geographic location. Based on the factors above, Neo4j utilizes the full width of the range.

In addition to the range below, US employees are eligible for a stock option grant and certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus. Employees in this position are also eligible to participate in the Company’s standard benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and certain leaves of absence.

Annual On Target Earnings Range: $200,000—$265,000 USD
