Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Senior Data & AI Solutions Architect to lead design of data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, data warehousing, and real-time analytics.

You will act as the Solution Orchestrator for data-centric projects, guiding the architecture and engineering of scalable systems for enterprise clients. This role requires extensive presales experience, collaboration with sales, IT governance, and close work with AI and Data Governance

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Presales engagement and collaboration with sales to understand client requirements and pain points.
• Design and present tailored solution proposals addressing business and technical needs.
• Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, and assessments to evaluate environments and modernization opportunities.
• Create technical proposals including architecture, roadmaps, and cost estimates.
• Lead SOW development with cross-functional teams to align with client needs and business objectives.
• Drive revenue growth within the professional services team by identifying opportunities and optimizing offerings.
• Architect end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, warehousing, and real-time analytics.
• Lead data ingestion, transformation, and storage designs on Azure; develop ETL/ELT pipelines; design data warehousing and data lake solutions.
• Design real-time data streaming architectures using Azure Event Hubs and Stream Analytics; enable CI/CD and IaC with Azure DevOps.
• Advise on governance using Purview and collaborate with Data Governance and AI Architects to support AI/ML workloads.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data & AI Solutions Architect to lead the design of cutting-edge data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric. In this pivotal role, you will act as the "Solution Orchestrator" for data-centric projects, driving the architecture and engineering of scalable, high-performance data platforms. You will be instrumental in helping our enterprise clients unlock the full potential of their data through modern data engineering practices and the unified capabilities of Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities:

• Presales Engagement
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements, goals, and pain points.
• Design and present tailored solution solutions, addressing business and technical needs.
• Lead discovery sessions, technical workshops, and assessments to evaluate current environments and identify opportunities for modernization.
• Create comprehensive technical proposals, including solution architecture, implementation roadmaps, and cost estimates.
• Lead the development of SOWs, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client needs and business objectives.
• Drive revenue growth within the professional services team by identifying new opportunities and optimizing service offerings.
• Microsoft Fabric Expertise:
• Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, encompassing OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, data warehousing, and real-time analytics.
• Act as the subject matter expert on Microsoft Fabric, providing expert guidance and technical leadership to the presales team.
• Implement best practices for OneLake architecture, data pipeline design, and data warehousing within the Fabric ecosystem.
• Data Architecture & Engineering:
• Lead the design of data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions on Azure.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline architectures.
• Design data warehousing and data lake solutions.
• Design real-time data streaming and processing architectures using Azure Event Hubs and Azure Stream Analytics.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for data engineering CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Advise on performance tuning and optimization techniques for Azure data systems.
• Synergistic Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with the Data Governance Architect to ensure data pipelines adhere to governance policies and best practices within Fabric.
• Work with the AI Architect to provide robust and scalable data infrastructure for AI/ML workloads and LLM based applications.
• Utilize Purview to improve data engineering workflows.
• Client Engagement:
• Conduct in-depth client discovery sessions to understand their data challenges and business objectives.
• Develop and present compelling technical proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts that showcase the value of Microsoft Fabric and our data solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and technical leadership.

Qualifications:

• Experience :
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
• Strong presales experience, with a focus on data architecture and engineering.
• Technical Skills :
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Spark, data warehousing, real-time analytics).
• Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline design.
• Experience with real-time data streaming and processing.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps and infrastructure as code.
• Understanding of Microsoft Purview.
• Soft Skills :
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong client relationship management skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

The base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000. The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus/commissions, are $160,000 - $250,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
