Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Network-focused Solutions Architect in San Ramon, CA to drive network and security solutions for customers. You will gather requirements, design end-to-end solutions, and present complex architectures including hardware, software, licensing, and services.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in enterprise network/security, 2+ years in presales, and deep expertise in routing, switching, next-gen firewalls, SD-WAN, and data center networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise class network and security solutions.
• 2+ years of presales experience.
• Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of one or more: complex routing and switching (Cisco, Arista, HP); next gen firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet); AI Operations; AI networking; data center switching/segmentation (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX); SASE, SD-WAN and cloud networking.

• Complete end-to-end, full lifecycle network designs.

The Role

We are looking to add a skilled Network focused Solutions Architect to our team in San Ramon, CA. As a member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, you will be responsible for meeting with Presidio's customers, collecting requirements for business solutions related to network and security projects, and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers.

A successful Networking Solutions Architect (SA) should be able to develop,present,and explain various network infrastructure technologies (LAN/WAN, Data Center Switching, Security, SD-WAN) to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of ENTERPRISE class solutions from partners such as Cisco, HPE, Palo Networks and other network infrastructure manufacturers. Successful candidates will have a solid grasp of network design principles based on industry best practices.

• Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services)

• Ability to self-pace and self-set direction in a team environment to drive business
• Work with Account Executive/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process
• Maintain and develop technical and technology specific skill sets and certifications

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 7+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in enterprise class network and security solutions.
• 2+ years of presales experience
• Expert-level knowledge and experience with design,implementationand support of one or more of the following:
  • Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco, Arista, HP)
  • Next gen firewalls/VPNs(Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
  • AI Operations
  • AI networking
  • Data Center switching/segmentationsolutions such as Cisco ACI and VMware NSX
  • SASE, SD-WAN and othercloud-basednetworking technologies

Preferred Experience:

• One or more of the following certifications: CCDP/CCNP/CCIE and other non-Cisco certifications.
• Experience in a Value Added Reseller (VAR) environment

A successful Solutions Architect will be able todemonstratetechnical and designexpertisebased on past/present experience in deployment, administration, configuration, or integration. Experience working as a consultant or network architect is desirable.
