Sr. Solutions Architect

Location: Minneapolis, MN (up to 25% travel within region).

We are looking to add a skilled Sr. Solutions Architect to our Pre‑Sales Engineering Team. The role involves meeting with Presidio customers, collecting requirements for business solutions related to network and security projects, and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers.

A successful Networking Sr. Solutions Architect should be able to develop, present, and educate on various network infrastructure technologies (LAN/WAN, Data Center Switching, Security, SD‑WAN) to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of enterprise‑class solutions from partners such as Cisco, Palo Alto, HPE, VMware, AWS, and other network infrastructure manufacturers. A solid grasp of network design principles based on industry best practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop high‑level technical solutions and present to customers (hardware, software, licensing, professional services)
• Collect business and technical requirements
• Complete end‑to‑end, full lifecycle network designs
• Drive whiteboard conversations
• Craft customer‑facing presentations
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
• Generate hardware configurations (BoM) and work with internal teams to complete these tasks
• Write statements of work (SoW) and develop professional service pricing utilizing Presidio tools
• Self‑pace and set direction in a team environment to drive business outside of traditional networking (cloud, cyber, managed services, and digital business opportunities, etc.)
• Build relationships with Account Executives/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer rapport and solutions and assist in overall sales process
• Maintain and develop technical and technology‑specific skill sets and certifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 7+ years of experience, demonstrating a significant level of expertise in enterprise‑class network and security solutions
• Expert‑level knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of one or more of the following:
  • Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco and HPE)
  • Next‑gen firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
  • SSE and SASE technologies
  • Network Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (preferred), Aruba ClearPass, and FortiNAC implementation, design, configuration
  • IDS/IPS solutions (Cisco, FortiGuard, Tipping Point, etc. are helpful)
  • Data Center switching/segmentation solutions such as Cisco ACI, VXLAN, and VMware NSX
  • SDWAN solutions such as Cisco Viptela, Meraki SDWAN, Prisma, Silver Peak, VMware Velocloud, etc.
  • Cisco/Meraki, Mist, or Aruba Wireless

Preferred Skills & Experience

• One or more of the following certifications: CCDP/CCNP/CCIE and other non‑Cisco certifications
• Experience in a Value‑Added Reseller (VAR) environment
