Job summary

Databricks seeks a seasoned Solutions Architect to drive customer engagement and adoption of the Data Intelligence Platform across the United States and beyond.

You will mentor junior architects, influence executives, and lead complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem. Expect to develop collateral and lead workshops while growing in multiple tracks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of customer-facing technical experience.
• Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycles in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and CFO/CTO-level stakeholders by building relationships and orchestrating teams.
• Proficient coding in Python, Java or Scala with willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on experience with POCs and public cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical solutions for complex customer needs in a competitive market.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executives in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects on use-case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements across cloud ecosystem and third-party apps.
• Be a champion for customers and colleagues as an expert solution architect for data analytics architecture and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community by creating collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.

What we look for

• 10+ years of customer‑facing technical experience.
• Know how to engage in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre‑sales capacity.

• Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (i.e., Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
• Hands‑on expertise with complex proofs‑of‑concept and public cloud platform(s).
• Know how to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
• Can travel up to 30% when needed.
