Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Sr Solution Architect / Engineer to join the Data Commercialization team. The role focuses on designing secure, scalable data delivery solutions for clients, balancing performance and cost while guiding onboarding from discovery through production deployment.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Product, Sales, Security, Legal, Privacy, Risk and Compliance to secure approvals and implement reusable architecture patterns. Strong cloud experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, cloud engineering or related field.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data integration or delivery solutions using modern cloud and data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data security, privacy and governance controls, including encryption, access management, masking or tokenization.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Own

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data integration or delivery solutions using modern cloud and data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data security, privacy and governance controls, including encryption, access management, masking or tokenization.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear recommendations for clients, engineers and business leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Management or a related discipline.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience in payments, fintech, banking or another highly regulated industry, particularly with data commercialization or monetization.
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, Google Cloud Platform, SFTP delivery or privacy‑enhancing clean‑room technologies.
• Relevant cloud, security, architecture or data‑platform certifications.
