Job summary

TekWissen Group in Newton, MA is seeking a Sr. Software QA Engineer (Contractor) to join our client’s Endovascular Robotics division. This onsite, 12-month assignment focuses on testing safety-critical application and embedded software in a medical device environment.

You will develop, document, and execute test cases; identify defects; collaborate with software, hardware, and product teams; and analyze results to drive reliability and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with focus on application software and hardware systems.
• Familiar with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Serial, and UART.
• Familiar with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python for automation testing.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools (Azure DevOps).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Job Description:

• We are currently looking for an ambitious Sr. Software QA Engineer (Contractor) to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies.
• We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions.

• As a Sr. Software QA Engineer (Contractor) you will be responsible for:
  • Develop, document, and execute test cases for application and embedded software.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues using bug tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand requirements.
  • Analyze test results, provide feedback to engineering teams, and suggest improvements to enhance software performance and reliability.
