Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), a Danaher company, seeks a software product manager to shape the Archer NGS product line. You will translate customer needs into software requirements, backlogs, and epics, working with software, assay, and innovation teams to accelerate value delivery.

Based on-site in Boulder, CO, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, prioritize roadmaps, and ensure deployment and security considerations align with customer IT environments and procurement needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience translating user and business needs into software requirements in an Agile environment.
• Experience with NGS, bioinformatics, genomic data analysis, or similar life science software domain.
• Experience prioritizing backlogs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and enhancements using Jira.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers, sales teams, and stakeholders to understand workflows and market trends.
• Collaborate with product managers, assay product managers, and software teams to shape strategy and roadmap.
• Translate customer needs into software requirements and prioritized backlog items; consider deployment, data privacy, security, and IT requirements.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Build relationships with customers, sales teams, and key stakeholders to understand customer workflows, emerging needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
• Partner with Innovation and Sustainment Product Managers, assay product managers, and software teams to shape software strategy, roadmap priorities, and product requirements aligned with customer and business objectives.
• Translate customer needs into software requirements, user workflows, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items using Agile methodologies, while considering deployment models, data privacy, security expectations, and customer IT and procurement requirements.
• Lead product management activities supporting new product introductions, including requirements definition, business case development, and cross-functional execution to accelerate delivery of customer value.
• Provide product support for internal software tools, including custom design and manufacturing tools, and drive their optimization to improve workflows and achieve business objectives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 3+ years of experience in software product management, product ownership, or a comparable role translating user and business needs into software requirements in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience with NGS, bioinformatics, genomic data analysis, molecular diagnostics, or another technically complex life science software domain.
• Experience prioritizing product backlogs and developing epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and enhancements using tools such as Jira.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional software or process-improvement initiatives and communicating business cases, technical tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical, commercial, and customer-facing stakeholders.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Regulated product software development, including software used in vitro diagnostic, or other quality-system environments.
• Previous experience with assay design and bioinformatics software for next-generation sequencing/genomic data analysis.
• Previous customer-facing roles

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $140,000-$160,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
