Sr. Software Engineers - Full Stack & Backend
Build meaningful products. Solve difficult engineering problems. Own what you ship.
We’re helping our client hire hands-on builders who combine strong technical fundamentals with experience shipping software in demanding product environments. You should be comfortable taking ownership, making thoughtful technical decisions, and turning ambiguous requirements into working products.
What you’ll work on
Depending on your strengths and the opportunity, you could:
- Build full-stack features from customer-facing interfaces through backend services and databases.
- Design reliable APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and backend infrastructure.
- Take products and features from initial concept through production launch.
- Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Work closely with founders, engineering leaders, and customers to solve meaningful problems.
- Own technical decisions and remain accountable for how your software performs after launch.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with clear examples of production software you personally built and shipped.
- Depth in full-stack or backend development. You do not need to specialize in both.
- For full-stack engineers: experience with React, Next.js, or comparable modern frameworks, plus backend development.
- For backend engineers: experience building APIs, services, databases, and production systems.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, system design, and debugging.
- Experience taking ownership in a fast-moving engineering environment.
- Current Bay Area residence or willingness to relocate for an appropriate opportunity.
Backgrounds that stand out
- Engineering experience at a leading startup or a technology company known for strong engineering talent.
- Early engineering responsibility: launching products, building core systems, or helping a small team scale.
- A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline from a leading university.
- Evidence of exceptional ability through technical achievements, research, open-source contributions, or products you’ve built.
We value strong academic and company backgrounds alongside clear evidence of individual contribution, technical depth, and ownership.
