Job summary

WelcomeHome, an Atlanta-based SaaS provider, is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to help build user-friendly software. This fully remote role reports to the VP of Engineering (Las Vegas) and offers the chance to impact multiple product areas.

Candidates should have deep Ruby on Rails experience, 5+ years in software engineering, and a track record of owning solutions and delivering high-quality UX-driven features in a growth-stage environment.

About the Role

WelcomeHome is looking for Senior Ruby on Rails Engineers excited about building user-friendly software solutions. This role is fully remote (based in the U.S.), will report to our VP of Engineering (based in Las Vegas), and play an integral role in product development and have the opportunity to impact several areas of the business.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Ruby on Rails 8 / Ruby 3.3 (currently upgrading to Ruby 4)
• Frontend: Haml, Stimulus, minimal React (where it earns its place)
• Testing: Minitest + Capybara, TDD throughout
• Data/Async: PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq
• Infrastructure: AWS (Aurora, S3, EC2) via Cloud66
• AI: Pi, Codex, and Claude Code used in the daily dev workflow

A great candidate might have
