Sr. Software Engineer Java

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 3-6 Months CTH

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing
• Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
• Work very closely with architecture groups and drive solutions
• Participate in an Agile / Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases through 2-week sprints
• Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
• Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
• Mentor and guide members of the delivery team such as software engineers, quality assurance, and systems/business analysts

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java or other object-oriented development work experience
• 2+ years of work experience with Oracle or other RDBMS
• 2+ years of experience with a large-scale enterprise application
• Relevant experience across the entire SDLC
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
• Previous experience as a development lead, manager or other related leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology
• Experience with healthcare ANSI x12 EDI transactions
• Experience with XML/JSON
• Experience with Restful and SOAP APIs
• Experience with Angular or Node.js
