We are seeking a visionary front‑end Senior Software Engineer to join our team building our flagship digital web presence. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in front‑end technologies, a strong understanding of system integrations, and experience working with both in-house teams and outsourcing partners. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect and implement intuitive, engaging user interfaces and manage the seamless integration of Next.js components, APIs, AI models, and CMS systems.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
Software Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications, focusing on beautiful front‑end interfaces while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Build scalable front‑end interfaces using React/Next.js and robust back‑end services using Node.js and .NET, leveraging both RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Leverage AI tooling to supercharge productivity.
Architecture and Design
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of software systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical strategy.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, providing feedback and recommendations to improve system design and code quality.
Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure software quality.
  • Identify and resolve defects and performance issues, conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
  • Work closely with QA teams to implement and improve testing strategies and processes.
Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality features and enhancements.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team’s processes.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, providing updates on progress and potential challenges.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve incidents as needed.
Mentorship and Leadership
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to help them grow in their roles.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Take ownership of features or projects, driving them from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, bringing new ideas to the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, refactoring, or technical enhancements to optimize the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to the evolution of the team’s technical direction.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on front‑end development across modern web technologies.
  • Next.js expertise: Proven experience building scalable applications using Next.js, including both frontend interfaces and API/GraphQL routing.
  • Web development: Strong familiarity with headless CMS platforms, digital asset management systems, and responsive front‑end development.
  • Agile mindset: Comfortable working in agile environments, adapting quickly to evolving requirements and priorities.
  • Problem solving: Strong analytical skills with a detail‑oriented mindset and a proactive approach to ownership and accountability.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Initiative & drive: Self‑starter with a passion for technology, continuous learning, and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Integrity & quality: Committed to delivering high‑quality, secure, and maintainable software solutions with professionalism and accountability.
Additional Skills
  • Backend proficiency: Hands‑on experience with .NET, Node.js, and optionally Python, with a solid grasp of microservices architecture and API design.
  • Cloud & infrastructure: Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Experience integrating applications into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, with a solid understanding of version control and automation.
  • Architecture & databases: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and database design for both SQL and NoSQL systems.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. The role is primarily remote; however, candidates who reside within a 50‑mile radius of Irving, TX or Miami, FL—or within commuting distance of any Lennar hub—are expected to work onsite at least three days per week or as otherwise directed by their manager.
