Job summary

Job description

Overview

Sr Software Engineer - DevSecOps role with Disney Experiences (DX). This is not a remote role; you must be in the local area or willing to relocate.

What You’ll Do
  • May lead small projects encompassing analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs.
  • Responsible for performing testing and debugging of applications.
  • Code may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platforms.
  • Code at the component level.
  • Work typically involves large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems.
  • Possess a proven understanding of current programming language and technologies, with strong skills in writing code and completing programming tasks.
  • Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applications.
  • Design and develop highly scalable software systems and applications.
  • You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies and leverage AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment.
  • Expertise in Python, Go, Bash, and a general understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD systems, such as Harness and Jenkins, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development.
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Github Copilot.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in mobile application development and debugging, including iOS and Android.
  • Harness platform experience.
  • Experience working with macOS and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience using Node.js and Vue.js.
Required Education

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, or a comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position in Orlando is $135,200.00 - $160,000.00 per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary by geographic region, knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
