Job summary

You will build production-ready reference architectures, craft proof-of-concept apps, and teach developers how to leverage Apple’s GenAI platform. You'll prototype demos, author tutorials, and present at conferences, meetups, and hackathons, while collaborating with product teams to improve APIs and developer experience.

Description

We are looking for a Generative AI Developer Advocacy Engineer to act as the bridge between our engineering team and the global AI developer community. In this role, you will not just talk about AI - you will build with it. You will create production-ready reference architectures, build compelling proof-of-concept applications, and teach developers how to leverage our platform to build next-generation AI workflows. If you are equally comfortable debugging complex RAG pipelines in Python and presenting to a room of 500 developers, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Build & Prototype: Design and code robust demo applications, SDKs, and reference architectures that showcase our platform's capabilities in real-world GenAI use cases (e.g., autonomous agents, semantic search, document understanding).
• Educate & Evangelize: Author high-quality technical content, including code-heavy tutorials, architecture deep-dives, blog posts, and documentation. Represent the company at major AI/ML conferences, meetups, and hackathons.
• Champion the Developer: Act as "Customer Zero." Test our new APIs and features before they launch, identify friction points in the developer experience, and work directly with our product teams to fix them.
• Cultivate Community: Engage authentically with developers where they live - whether that is GitHub, Slack, IDEs. Help unblock developers and turn them into champions of our ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, or technical developer advocate.
• Hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs). Familiarity with the modern AI stack, including orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack) and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus).
• A proven track record of writing clear, engaging technical content and presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• A genuine desire to help other developers succeed, with the patience to debug community issues and translate them into actionable product feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience contributing to or maintaining open-source AI projects.
• Familiarity with model deployment, fine-tuning, or MLOps infrastructure.
• An existing network or presence within the AI/ML developer community.
