Senior Software Engineer at Southwest Airlines located in Phoenix, USA.

Qualifications

• Skills: Advanced understanding of software development methodologies, practices, standards, and technology. Proactively shares understanding and abilities. Advanced understanding of at least one required programming language. Good partnering, communication, negotiation talents. Ability to articulate thoughts, approach, ideas. Capacity to guide a couple of assignments. Mentor others. Influence without authority.
• Technical: Proficient in at least one of Node.js, Python, React, Square, AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, DynamoDB, CloudFront, Route53. Java, Spring Boot, Spring batch. Configuration and integration with HCM systems (Workday, Kronos) a plus. Agile/SCRUM. Large operational know‑how. Advanced information of software program improvement methodologies, practices, principles, and technologies.
• Other requirements: U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the USA. At least 18 years of age. Ability to follow attendance standards. Ability to perform duties at a limited space work station/desk/office area.

Work Environment & Remote Policy

Position works remotely but may require training, meetings, conferences, and travel. Certain states are ineligible for remote work: Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $137,250 to $152,500 per year.

Bonus opportunities and discretionary incentives may be available for eligible roles.
