Our team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to collaborate with software, network, and systems engineers in designing, implementing, and deploying scalable software solutions that meet customer requirements, overcome the limitations of traditional networking, and support highly available environments. At T-Mobile, the Senior Software Engineer plays an active role in the architecture and design of various software components, focusing on applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and big data platforms. They address moderately complex technical assignments that require sound judgment in problem-solving and decision-making. Additionally, they handle tasks that demand initiative and critical thinking, understand the broader implications of their work, and provide well-informed recommendations. They typically work independently on daily tasks, requiring only general guidance for newly introduced assignments.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Engineering Services
  • Drive engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Expected to supervise base and associate level engineers as needed.
  • Understand system protocols, system operations, and data flows. Be aware of the benefits of current technologies. Independently develop a complete software stack. Possess knowledge of the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation tasks. Engage in independent study of current technologies.
  • AI-Powered Solution Development
    • Design and integrate AI/ML models into intelligent applications using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Azure ML.
  • Cloud-Native Architecture & Services
    • Build, deploy, and maintain applications on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) using services like Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, and serverless components.
  • Kubernetes & Containerization
    • Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes clusters for scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
  • Data Engineering & Integration
    • Design and develop robust data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks. Work with structured and unstructured data across data lakes, warehouses, and relational databases.
  • Microservices & API Development
    • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using modern backend frameworks, ensuring integration with AI models and data sources.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to designing new ideas utilizing new frameworks to improve existing or new systems/services.
  • Review existing designs and processes to identify more efficient approaches.
  • Understand the creation of company Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions.
  • Continuously learn and teach others about new and existing technologies.
  • Mentor or conduct workshops for team development.
  • Contribute to technology strategy supporting business goals.
  • Write and maintain clear documentation of systems and code.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline (Required)
  • 4–7+ years of technical engineering experience (Required)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), AI/ML frameworks, data pipelines, and programming languages such as Python/R, Java/Scala, or Go.
  • Experience delivering ML models in production environments (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication, customer service, analytical, and technical writing skills (Required)
  • Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.

  • Travel required: Yes
  • Base pay range: $113,600 - $205,000
  • Bonus target: 15%
