Job Description
DUTIES: Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and assist in guidance regarding practices, procedures, and techniques; develop software and data products using Python; develop data APIs using Java; perform ad hoc data exploration using SQL; write code using Jenkins; implement secure data compliance initiatives to data infrastructure using AWS cloud; use GitHub for version control; develop machine learning models using Databricks and Apache Spark; leverage Snowflake to perform data warehousing for large volumes of data; and query data warehouses using Clickhouse; assist in tracking and evaluating performance metrics and ensure that the team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specifications and technical requirements; test and evaluate systems, subsystems, and components; act as a technical contact and liaison for outside vendors and/or customers; present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior level software engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software and data products using Python; developing data APIs using Java; performing ad hoc data exploration using SQL; writing code using Jenkins; implementing secure data compliance initiatives to data infrastructure using AWS cloud; using GitHub for version control; of which three (3) years includes developing machine learning models using Databricks and Apache Spark; leveraging Snowflake to perform data warehousing for large volumes of data; and querying data warehouses using Clickhouse.
SALARY: $152,363.00 to $170,000.00 per year
